Fritz Creek-EXCELLENT FOOD!!! Eggplant sandwich was amazing. Be prepared to be micro-managed. Kind of scary; the store is being managed through fear. The experience was overwhelming and not customer friendly. I understand the economic crisis and social distancing stress. The way it was handled could have been much better. Please consider kindness. I would consider saying where to stand rather than where NOT to stand. Hard to navigate. 🙂Again, food excellent.

After many many years of life on east end road it is time we talk about the Fritz Creek general store. I went in today to buy a cup of soup. I wear a mask, I am nice and I live just right up the road. I get handed my soup, once again by the grumpiest kitchen employee. And then I check the mailbox and for the third time in 3 months my package has been ripped open. Luckily, the contents remained. The first time someone had swiped my pricey shampoo. The second time contents remained but there was a note and a fake Louis Vuitton wallet.....what the heck, Fritz? Oh and when you pay, a totally disgruntled cashier. Now believe me, I understand that sometimes poop hits the fan and we all have a bad day once-in-a-while. But this grumpiness is systemic and pro-longed. Bring back customer service and quit opening my packages!

The older lady at the checkout counter could be nicer to the customers. Everything is great at the store just the treatment of the customers from the one particular employee.

Loaded veggie sandwich on fresh bun...I would suggest driving to the end of the road for this & a slice of fresh baked dessert. Authentic Homer atmosphere. I hear the brisket sand-o is bomb as well.

Coming from Portland, a total foody-town, we were really spoiled and worried about not finding great spots here at the end of the road - but Fritz Creek Deli and Bakery (which also doubles as a small grocery store , liquor store, gas station, and post office) has some of the most AMAZING food. Not just for Alaska - but seriously gourmet food. They have some grab-n-go foods if you want to pack a picnic. You can either muscle in on one of their few tables or take it back home. They have fresh bread and good variety of snacky foods. The Deli's dessert case is a decadent delight: chocolate eclairs, carrot cake, cinnamon roles, and fruit gallete are amongst their many fresh-baked selection. Bonus: BBQ pulled pork!
